How much does it Cost?
Pack 74 STRIVES to make scouting the lowest cost experience as possible!
2026 Registration Fee: $105 Paid at time of registration or renewal
$105 for National and Council fee (additional $15 for Boy’s Life Magazine, if desired)
No youth will be turned away for an inability to pay. The Seneca Waterways Council can provide financial assistance when needed for the National and Council dues. Please let us know if you are in need of financial assistance and we will provide you information.
BSA membership fees and the NCAC Participation Fee are nonrefundable.
Individual Activity Charges
Paid on an event by event basis. The majority of our activities are free, and most of our paid activities qualify for group or reduced admission so there is a savings vs. paying for these events individually.
Scouting Class A Uniforms
See the list on our Uniforms page for the items needed for your child to be in proper uniform at our events.
Class B Shirts
For many of our events, when a full uniform isn’t practical, but we still want to be identified as cub scouts, we encourage Scouts to wear “class B” t-shirts. These shirts are available to purchase from the Pack (not available each year).
Tax Deductions
Most scouting items such as uniforms are tax deductible. Save all scouting receipts even for scouting events and activities. Always check with your tax advisor to see what can or can’t be claimed.
Fundraising
We have a number of different fundraising opportunities through the year that help mitigate some of the costs such as Summer Camp and yearly renewal. Participation is not mandatory, but many families have successfully made enough sales to cover the full costs of yearly activities.
